about

Born out of 4 simple ideas and expanded to this. Lee Rogers provided the initial riffs and impetus and along with Will Wilson, they crafted it over two years of time that they didn't have.

Release Notes:
An album that happened by accident. Will and I had messed around with four ideas of mine for months, egging each other on to come up with as many off-the-wall embellishments as we could.

I especially love 'Medicated Bliss'. It's all made with guitars, yet sounds like loads of keyboard drones. The E-Bow is a wonderful weapon for a guitarist and I went hog-wild on it for this track!

Thordis' contribution on vocals for the title track was a total bonus. Her wonderful voice really brought that track to life and I'm grateful that she agreed to help us out.

I've also got to mention 'ol sausage fingers himself, Jason Illidge who provided some awesome bass guitar work on this album. Jason is the only bass player I've ever enjoyed paying with. He has a real sympathetic ear to music and composed some superb lines that always seemed to compliment my own guitar playing. He is one hell of a player.

I'm indebted to Will for having the patience to piece this all together.
Apart from being my label co-owner and greatest musical friend, his contributions to this and subsequent projects deserve the highest praise I can give.
His mental drumming on 'Wave Upon Wave' still hits the mark for me, even if I over-engineered the last three minutes of it just so I could get my 'Prog Rock' badge for writing something over 10 minutes...

Still, this is an album where we got a lot right, but we got a lot wrong too.
A glorious experiment and we had a lot of fun making it
